I've been reading him for quite awhile, and continue to. The pattern I've noticed is picking out an opinion he disagrees with, and spins it as an ATTACK against his own side, whatever the case may be. An recent example is Jimmy Carters effort to start his own baptist church, or some kind of religious project. Sola headlined this as Carter "attacking" baptists.
This little trick allows him to take an attack posture on multiple fronts, while, at the same time justifying this as merely a defense. Moreover, he strenuously contends that he is cornered by aggressive forces. By casting (and sometimes inventing) conflict in this light, he can justify almost any nasty action. Today he describes Leon Panetta's request of Israel to make a peace gesture as "bovine effluent" coming out of his mouth. The important moral, of course, is that he didn't actually use the word "shit".
He's got more hate in him than any Christian I've yet to meet. I can appreciate a killer, but not if he believes his own cover.
